Styled Shoot Featured in Brides Up North
One year on from this photoshoot and I am still blown away by the photos! Aren’t they just incredible? Lauren and Milli from Veil and Gun form an incredible team with drool-worthy results.
Halloween is honestly my favourite time of year. It makes it acceptable to fill your house with skulls and paint things black, even though I do that anyway. So obviously when Tammy from Howards Events asked if I would be interested in creating a gown for a Dark Romance photoshoot, how could I resist? The only criteria I had to follow… Make it BLACK!
Tammy had the rest of the team ready and raring to go, it was only a matter of finding a model and I knew just who to call… Ruby. Ruby is a fellow Halloween enthusiast, was one of my real brides from Be Envied Bridal Boutique and was able to sweet talk her fiancé into joining us. (Shout out to Josh who was an absolute trooper on set and didn’t complain once!)
I arrived on set at Loversall Farm without being able to do a fitting due to the quick turn around of this shoot (and a few Covid restrictions). I only had three weeks notice and just Ruby’s measurements, luckily that was all I needed to create this spook-tacular masterpiece.
Tammy filled the venue with tall candles, black and orange drapes, skulls, pumpkins and accents of gold to create a breathtakingly glamorous scene, topped off perfectly with bewitching flowers from Jackie at The Flower Shop. Black and orange roses, aptly named brain flowers (celosia), dried mini pumpkins and black ostrich feathers helped make this the most boo-tiful wedding set up I’ve ever seen and I’m totally Crazy in Love with it.
Happy Halloween!
All the best, Danielle 🖤
